Who we are
Ours is a company with a long history that, over several generations, has remained faithful to its family tradition.
Today, we act as producers and distributors of a wide range of outdoor cleaning tools, specializing in urban maintenance, street cleaning, and gardening sectors. We collaborate with both the main companies in the sector in Spain and with city councils, to facilitate the optimal maintenance of their cities. We are proud to have the trust of leading institutions and companies in the sector, which endorse our commitment to quality and sustainability.

Industrial and home cleaning, with our own manufacturing of brooms and accessories for hygiene and maintenance, supplying everything from the most traditional brooms to latest-generation products.

Our history
We are a company founded in 1900, as certified by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, with over 125 years of history. In its early days, the company focused on processing esparto grass, but in the 1920s, it specialized in manufacturing brooms made from dwarf palm, sourced from the Garraf Massif and the Seville mountain ranges, and with cane handles from the local streams. Subsequently, the bulk of the production shifted to millet brooms.
In the 70s, the production of polypropylene brooms began, and currently, we manufacture a wide range of brooms with plastic polymers, for which we produce our own fiber and other components using our injection and extrusion lines.
In the late 90s of the last century, we started producing brooms specially designed for street cleaning, a sector that has become our main focus and where we have experienced significant growth over the past two decades, becoming a benchmark.
Committed to sustainability
At Giralt Urbana Industrial, we work every day to be a more sustainable and environmentally friendly company.
That’s why we have our own machinery to process our plastic waste, so we can reuse it and avoid disposal. We are committed to using recycled materials in our products, thus contributing to the circular economy and minimizing the environmental impact of our production.
We have a photovoltaic installation that generates renewable energy and is located on the roofs of our industrial facilities. In this way, we don’t occupy rural land to generate our own energy, nor do we need to create additional distribution facilities to bring it to our premises, thus minimizing our impact on the landscape and biodiversity.
By focusing our energy demand on the production curve of our photovoltaic plant, we reduce our carbon footprint, and send surplus energy to the distribution grid to increase the percentage of renewable energy used in our environment.
